2012 is shaping up to be a year of doing & it only started 8 hours ago. Now before you all think I’ve jumped the gun and am up at 8am on New Years day after spending the night devouring caviar and bottles of Champagne in the ballroom of a Manhattan hotel, let me assure you, I’m still fast asleep. Snoring on the floor of a girlfriend’s East Village apartment. This post was pre-scheduled (thank you WordPress for this fantastic feature).
This year, I’ve decided to take a different route with my resolutions and pick one for each month of the year. My problem last year was telling myself “I still have 6 months!” and then “I still have 4 months!” and then “I still have 10 days!” and then, well, it’s this morning.
So, to start things off with a bang let’s just say, Number one can be crossed off already.
Ring in the New Year in New York City
February. Deprivation month (no alcohol, no gluten, no crying)
March. Spend an All-American Spring Break in Florida
April. Do a lot of yoga (ommmmmmmmm….)
May. Go to a play off game
June. ROCK a Victoria’s Secret two piece
July. Take a road trip
August. Go to my favorite corn stand in the Okanagan
September. Have clam chowder in a bread bowl in San Fransisco
October. Pop a bottle of champagne in Vegas for my 25th
November. Book flight to Guatemala City for February 2013
December. Learn how to stop (properly) in hockey skates
& so there you have it. The first item crossed off the twenty twelve list. And as you can see, it’s a bit of a rambling year (my specialty). And a bit of a kick my own ass year (a LOT of yoga? ROCK a bikini?) A few sexy athletes thrown in (Playoffs? yeeeee) And some serious comfort (Road trip? Fave corn stand?) And last but not least, some challenges (No gluten or alcohol? Stopping on hockey skates?) But all in all I think 2012 is off to a kicking a start. I picture grand successes, huge strides, embarrassing stories & plenty of fabulous pictures.
So much can happen in a year. What are your top 12 for 2-0-1-2? Share, please!
